Crying for Attention

April 12, 2007

Somehow this is the least sleazy video I’ve seen on the net all day. I think it has something to do with how it’s trying to be artsy. All that dark, morose music makes me think that it might actually be a commentary on the state of our hyper-sexualized society.

Of course, then I remember how much make-up the girl is wearing, and that she’d probably fair better with a brown paper bag, and that this is another case of a mediocre-to-ugly girl trying to make up for her short-comings by emphasizing a body that’s just going to go to shit in a few years whether she has kids or not. This is our generation desperately crying for attention. We can’t be beautiful, so we try to be sexy, and we actually think that that will lend us some deep, profound purpose rather than just another 15 minutes of gawking value.
