The Youth & Future of a Nation

It’s too bad that this, indeed, is the youth of a nation. What’s worse is that it makes them the future. Like I was just saying, the problem isn’t that this is happening, or even that we don’t think that it’s that much of a big deal, but that we think it’s a positive thing. If this is the standards of a generation while they’re still in the starry-eyed, idyllic years of their lives, just where the hell are they going to be when they start gravitating more toward being apathetic, and start voting (whenever they bother to, that is) for their pocket book instead of the greater good — or stop being able to tell the two apart?
